Bushcraft Introduction Course
30 June @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
This is our most popular course, it gives a great overview of many of the key skills that can then be refined at home or on more advance courses.
The course will provide you will the fundamentals required to feel at home in the outdoors, it is therefore aimed at those with little or no experience, or those who wish to reinforce their current knowledge, such as forest school teachers or Scout leaders.
Following a safety brief we get straight into looking at the most used tools, axes, knives & saws. Using these we fashion some basic items which you can take home. The course is designed to be hands on, informative but most importantly, enjoyable. We look at many different ways of making fire, from ancestral to modern techniques, giving you plenty of time to experiment and see what works for you. We stop for a lunch break (we try to keep this short so we can get more done!) then get onto processing natural cordage and tarp shelter building, learning basic knots and construction techniques. Tea, coffee & snacks provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
Prior to booking please read the full booking terms and conditions. Booking is considered acceptance of these terms.
