At Devon and Cornwall Bushcraft CIC, we are passionate about connecting people with the great outdoors. Our team of experienced bushcraft instructors are dedicated to sharing their extensive knowledge and skills, ensuring you have an unforgettable and educational experience in the wild.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals with the skills and confidence to thrive in the wilderness. Whether you’re a seasoned outdoor enthusiast or a complete beginner, we’re here to guide you on a journey of discovery, self-reliance, and nature appreciation.


Jono Holland

Jono Holland

Director/Instructor

Jono grew up in the Devon countryside, spending his time playing in the woods and rivers with his brother and friends.  Moving to Torquay in 1999 he expanded on these self taught skills, developing and honing his bushcraft knowledge.

For a number of years he ran events on Dartmoor through his previous company, before founding Devon & Cornwall Bushcraft in 2018.  Jono has ensured that the focus of Devon and Cornwall Bushcraft remains on practical, environmentally friendly practices.

He now lives with his wife & four young children in Kingsteignton, running Devon and Cornwall Bushcraft CIC throughout the Westcountry.

He is a qualified NCFE Bushcraft Leader, Mental Health First Aider, Level 3 Outdoor First Aid trained, Level 2 Safeguarding qualified and enhanced DBS Checked.


Davin Foster

Rural Skills Instructor

Davin has had a lifelong love of the outdoors and the natural world.  He has learn many of his skills through a life spent living an working on the land and further developed them with Devon Rural Skills Trust, where he instructed hedgelaying, coppicing, hedgebank restoration and coppice crafts, gaining a Master Craftsman’s qualification in 1994.

He has a passion for keeping traditional skills and tools alive.

Davin frequently runs the Wednesday evening club where he shares his wealth of knowledge.

Scott has a passion for the outdoors.  We first met him when he was bought a spot on a course as a present by his wife and we’ve been great friends since!

He has spent over 25 years delivering high end catering, running kitchens from Birmingham to Torquay, educating and catering nutritional meals for children over 52 schools across the South West and reaching the semi-finals of South West Chef of the Year twice.

In 2019 he set up his business, Shepherd Shack Catering
They offer a range of artisan, handmade deli items, a local takeaway service, cater events and weddings but most exciting of all, an outdoor fine dining experience!

Book onto any (subject to us booking him in time!) of our cooking courses & you’ll be treated to some superb food from Scott.  

Scott also provides the catering for our corporate and private booking events.
